Busy Weekend

OK, so all of them seem like busy weekends, but this weekend we have two events that demonstrate the range of who we are as GPCers.

First, we love having a good time, am I right? And what better way to have fun than be entertained by music! Our very own Tom Baust will be offering a concert this Saturday, October 17th at 7 pm. The title of the show is “My Story in Song”, but I think his story might also resemble our stories as we listen to the music from radio, TV, Broadway and the movies that has impacted Tom’s life as well as ours. So come on out, it should be a fun time.

The second event is on Sunday afternoon. POWER (Philadelphians Organized to Witness Empower and Rebuild) is working to expand throughout the commonwealth and Montgomery and Delaware County are its first efforts. This Metro chapter is being formed so that people of faith can take positive steps to live out our faith in the public realm. On Sunday at 3 pm, we will gather at Hope Community Church in King of Prussia, to begin to plan for the Organizing Convention of POWER Metro which will be held in February of 2016.

I hope everyone can come out to these events
