Discovery Recap

This week Discovery took the time to think about caring for those within our community as we prepare to be of service to those in our extended communities in the next few weeks.
We centered our thoughts on Paul’s greeting to the Ephesians: I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers (1:16). We made notes which we passed out to everyone in the congregation as they entered worship on this Sunday before Thanksgiving.

We will not meet for Discovery on Sunday (Nov 29).
On December 6 we will prepare our cookies boxes for sale at our Alternative Market in order to raise funds for Heifer International. Our hope is to make and sell enough cookies to raise the money for two Family Farm Care Packages.

The following week we will be packaging Breakfast Bags which will be distributed by the Narberth Food Pantry to families who depend on the school system for meals during the school year. During school breaks, Break Boxes are distributed and our Breakfast Bags will become a part of the offering. If you are interested in helping us gather supplies for this project, we are looking for breakfast foods such as granola bars, protein packs, oatmeal packages, milk boxes, etc.

Many thanks to the Fifers who provided our Discovery breakfast this week. Breakfast volunteers can sign up here.
