Dear Faith Family.
Gladwyne Presbyterian Church is one of 30 congregations from every section of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area who have joined together to transform the social and economic policies that are impacting our families and neighborhoods. POWER: An interfaith Movement stands for Philadelphians Organized to Witness Empower and Rebuild. This exciting and growing organization called POWER METRO is inter-faith, crosses the socio-economic, cultural, and neighborhood lines of our city, and is organizing to promote a new vision, a POWERful and faith-filled voice for change in Philadelphia’s Metropolitan Area.
Members of GPC have been part of the planning for POWER METRO’S founding convention coming up on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21st and we need you there! We will be promoting a bold vision for change in areas of jobs, school reform, housing, public safety and health-care access, to our community leaders. Please contact the POWER organizers from the congregation (Sandy Drayer, Linda Stevenson, Babara Kanzinger, LarryCozzens, Laura Cozzen, Mark Fifer, Sue Althouse, Todd Stavrakos, Carolyn Mack ) for more information. For even more information about P.O.W.E.R., contact Cecily Harwitt—phone (818)631-3454 email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/powerinterfaith/?fref=ts
We need your voice to be heard as we provide a physical symbol of POWER METRO’S unity to bring about change.
Please join us at our founding convention, February 21, 2016 3:;00-5:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale Pa.
We have selected a sanctuary that will hold over a 1000 people. We would like you to be one of those attending on that date. Please sign up when asked to attend. Encourage and support one another to attend and invite friends and neighbors to be part of this effort on that day. GPC had pledged that at least fifty people having a connection to our congregation will attend this gathering of the Spirit on February 21.
