Does context really matter?


So here is a helpful hint, if you ever say something controversial in a public setting and get called on it, just say, “Well that was taken out of context.” That seems to be the response of many athletes, politicians or community leaders when they have been caught saying something that they should not have said. Of course, frequently even when you re-read the statement in its context or hear it in its context, you realize, that the person still should not have said it. So the question is does context really matter?

Context is a very interesting concept, the idea that our surroundings, the setting, etc, are important to how we act and behave.
