It was a joyful Easter morning with Discovery. But it was the journey here that made it even more meaningful. Young members of Discovery traveled through the week joining their church family and at some times leading their church family through the events of Holy Week. They led the congregation with a parade of palms and the Call to Worship on Palm Sunday. There were the children’s questions at our seder meal on Wednesday night. They led us through the scripture readings at the Tenebrae service on Maundy Thursday, and they came to the Easter sunrise service, before decorating their Easter bags and racing down the hill to fill them with candy. Then they presented their One Great Hour of Sharing offerings at the 11 am service. What a vibrant presence they are in the life of our congregation!
