A Busy Sunday

On Sunday, February 2nd, we have a lot going on at GPC; during worship we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper, immediately following worship Session has a called a Congregational Meeting for the purpose of receiving the 2020 Budget and Approving the Terms of Call for the Pastor, then after the Meeting we will join together for Souper Bowl Sunday and then, those interested in the Mission Trip are asked to gather to here more about the options available to us.

For the Congregational Meeting, the Annual Reports will be emailed to the community by Friday, January 31st so that people have time to review the materials.

Souper Bowl Sunday is an annual event that helps to raise awareness and resources to address the reality of hunger in our society. The Discovery have decided to support the work of the Mantua Food Pantry. They ask that we bring bags of groceries to support the effort and/or make a financial donation. Volunteers are also asked to bring soup and other goodies for the meal and a sign up is available on the blog post about Souper Bowl Sunday.

As we gather to enjoy the meal of soup, bread and goodies, folks interested in the Mission Trip are invited to meet in the Discovery Room downstairs to discuss the options that are available to us. It is important that a decision is made in the next week so that we can make proper arrangements so please plan to be at the meeting.
