Let me first off provide my disclaimer. During this pandemic, my household is doing okay;  actually, we are doing better than okay. Jen and I both have jobs that are not threatened, and both work with organizations that will survive the pandemic so economically we are very secure. Our kids are both healthy, and besides being annoyed at being stuck in the house are managing the present pandemic rather well. So as I view our society, I am viewing it from a position of relative comfort.
