Many thanks to those of you who have already utilized the Online Giving option that GPC now has. You can find the link on the front page of the GPC website or access it during worship when the QR Code comes up during the offering.
As we get more used to this technology, it will enable us to be more flexible in how we give gifts and raise funds for our ministry partners. I wanted to take a moment to talk about some of the options at the present time of how you can continue to support GPC.
The most obvious is your continued support of your tithes and gifts. We are certainly working hard to continue our programs and worship during this time and your continued support is critical to these efforts.
Two new ministries and programs need your attention as well. Before the pandemic hit, GPC had begun the Sunday evening Alignment program as a means for those seeking a slightly different worship time and experience to gather. It has been a mixture of GPC members and non-GPC members. Session, when they approved the program, had funded it for its initial 8 week program, which we have recently completed. However, we are going to continue the program as it is have been so well received. With the new online giving option, we have been receiving support from non-GPC members to help fund Alignment, and if you have enjoyed Alignment, I would ask that you think about supporting it as well. When you give I would ask that you mention your gift in the Notes section if you want your gift to go to Alignment.
The same can be said about the QiGong program. We had not planned on having QiGong in our program this year but given the circumstances, we wanted to provide an additional centering option for people to take advantage of during Covid. Again, non-GPC members who participate in the QiGong have been very generous in giving to support and ask that you also provide an option in your Note of giving if you want to support Qigong.
Finally, we have begun supporting local efforts to raise funds for and purchase PPE’s for local essential workers and frontline providers. If you want to support these efforts, please write Covid Response in your Note.
