At GPC, it is the Stewardship Committee that assists the community of faith in exploring its gifts and talents, of supporting the mission and ministry of the congregation and to provide for the future ministry of this community. While its work primarily occurs during the Fall, it is a year round witness to the mission of the church.
There is an invigorating spirit to be found in GPC. We are blessed with the leadership of a caring and energetic pastor, Todd Stavrakos, whose desire is to assist all in their own journeys and ministry. This spirit also means a renewed commitment to Outreach, Youth and relevant worship.
To ensure a strong and growing financial foundation for our church, the Stewardship Committee asks the community of GPC to reflect upon our giving of time, talent and money and ask that the community commit to the continued growth of ministry at GPC.
Stewardship is about making choices, as individuals and in community. It is more than giving money to the church.
Stewardship is about being faithful disciples, caring for and managing all that God has given us.
Stewardship is not just one part of Christian discipleship; it involves every aspect of life in all the stages of life.
Stewardship is the grateful response to God’s grace and goodness. It requires a consideration of how our choices affect us and others, of how we can be good caretakers of the created world, and of how we can best serve God as disciples of Christ.
